The red & gold room
Our most dramatic room — deep red and gold damask, a crystal chandelier and a plush velvet bed, on the garden side of the house. It has its own private bathroom, finished in warm tadelakt with brass fittings.

A boudoir guesthouse in the Jekerkwartier — the historic heart of Maastricht, a few steps from the Vrijthof.
Maison d'Hôtes au Cheval Noir is located in the Sint-Bernardusstraat, in the Jeker quarter — the historical district in the heart of Maastricht. A district full of monuments, points of interest and events, but also a place to relax, to have a quiet drink on one of the many terraces, and of pure enjoyment.
The building was completely renovated in 2017 and is fully equipped. We have decorated the Maison in a boudoir style — a style from the 18th century, mainly used in France. We've tried to create a cosy atmosphere for our guests, so you feel at home the moment you arrive and throughout your stay.

Each room in our Maison is decorated in boudoir style, mainly referring to the eighteenth century. With large and luxurious beds, you can enjoy the ultimate comfort.
